Founded by Inna Strokous and Marius Schwald, Studio Bovti combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative manufacturing techniques, creating functional art objects with narrative depth. Each piece is a fusion of material, form, and emotion – an artistic expression that is also functional. Rather than focusing solely on design, Studio Bovti emphasizes storytelling: objects are not just items but stories that unfold within a space.
A key element of Studio Bovti’s work is active participation in the production process. Beyond conceptual development and execution, the designers themselves are involved in the craftsmanship. This direct engagement with material and technique lends each object a distinctive signature, consciously setting it apart from industrial production. The studio’s experimental approach to materials – from natural stone and ceramics to recycled paper - results in unique pieces that redefine the boundaries between design and art.
Inna Strokous and Marius Schwald bring their extensive expertise in architecture and interior design to Studio Bovti. Born in Ukraine, Inna Strokous shapes the studio’s expressive design language with her keen sense of materials and form. She gained valuable experience as an interior designer and creative director at renowned German design studios. Her work is characterized by strong contrasts, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep sensitivity to materials – qualities she now applies to the world of functional art objects.
Marius Schwald studied interior architecture and developed an early passion for craftsmanship and fabrication techniques. After years as a project manager in leading interior design studios, he decided to further explore his passion for experimental design and material fusion through Studio Bovti. Together, they see their work as a continuation and evolution of their previous careers – moving beyond pure spatial design toward the creation of artistic, functional objects with profound narrative depth.
