INHALE

Our ‘Inhale’ wall hanging with its abstract depiction of the variety of colours and shapes of nature is a reminder to take a deep breath and to return to the present moment in our often stressful everyday lives and consciously perceive it. Many daily routines are played out routinely and often automatically. The handmade textile surface reflects the opposite of this in individual shapes, colours and material compositions. Here, each shape finds its unique place, which makes it mspecial in its appearance. The great abstraction of perception also played a major role in the development of the work. One person sees a mountain, another sees a mushroom and a third sees something completely different. It is precisely this game that encourages us to take a closer look, take our time and be in the moment.
